Contact: FlameKA.com Public Relations And Communications (928) 453-4962 For Immediate Release Local Economy Fueled by Unseen Internet Sellers Lake Havasu City, AZ., June 18. – Although they don’t have a glass storefront or advertise in the phonebook, internet sellers are adding value to the local economy. One such small business, Flameka.com, only produces flame decals for Kitchen Aid mixers but their reach goes far beyond the city limits of Havasu. Their products have been written up in Redbook and the Los Angeles Times. “I pay tax on business sales and use the profits here in town to buy the stuff my family needs to live”, reports Ross Bolton, company President. Another local company, Venture West, found rent too expensive and now sells exclusively online under the Ebay store Venture-West. With over 1,200 completed sales and almost complete positive feedbacks it appears the store is as popular as ever without the burden of overhead. A recent search of Ebay for local sellers in one small town shows over 1,000 items for sale by different sellers. “These are people making their own products, buying discounted merchandise in stores, and of course keeping the garage sales the number one competitive sport in Havasu,” said Mr. Bolton. “Then they ship out their items at one of the local mailing locations.” The local UPS Store says up to 40% of their customers are buying or selling on Ebay. “Our prices are the same as UPS so we get a lot of internet customers,” said Nichole Mull a UPS Store employee. When asked, a local postal delivery person said the same, “There are a lot of you guys out there.” “I know many people who sell on the net,” says Mr. Bolton. “They are selling their niche products nationally to those who will pay top dollar for their unique merchandise. Then these sellers buy their cars and get their hair cut in town driving the local economy in unseen ways, keeping many people employed but going unnoticed and unappreciated.” About FlameKA.com FlameKA.com is the first company to offer an easy way to customize KitchenAid stand mixers with various styles of flame decals.
