Q: What mixers will the decal fit?

A: The kit was designed to fit all modern KitchenAid mixers by peeling off the sticky back and putting on the decal. When cut into pieces, the Decal Flame kit will fit all other manufacturers to make them look like a custom paint job. AND THEY WORK JUST AS WELL ON RIDING LAWN MOWERS!

Q: How do I apply them?
A: Complete instructions with pictures are included with every order. Clean the mixer with a heavy soap solution, then rinse and remove all residue with a lint free cloth. Wipe the mixer with Isopropyl Alcohol swab provided. Place the decal on the mixer to estimate final placement. Peel off the adhesive backing and firmly roll the sticker down on to the mixer. Peel of the protective top paper.Another option is to cut the pieces apart and place them wherever you want, including the sides and overlapping each other.

Q: I bought a new decal. How do I remove the old one?

A: Use a firm plastic or wooden spatula, press the decal flame tips at their smallest point. When the tips lift up, use your hand to pull upwards on the tips toward the larger section of the decal. Use Goo Gone for residual glue.

Q: What if I mess up the application?

A: Clean the adhesive with a mild soap solution, then Isopropyl alcohol, and try again. For bubbles, poke it on the side and press the air out. For folds, try to pull up that section and stress the vinyl in the direction of the curved surface to lay flat. Staying away from the front and back motor spheres also helps.

Q: How long will they last?

A: These are designed to last for 5 years outdoors. Better treatment leads to a longer life. The vinyl can withstand heat -40 F to 180 F and is resistant to mild acids, alkalis, and salt solutions.

Q: What was George Washington's favorite food?

A: Ice Cream and fish. Not at the same time.

Q: Are the decals food grade (NSF)?

A: No. They don't taste good either. One can encase the decals with a Shellac coating, which is food grade.

Q: How do I clean them?

A: With a soft sponge and mild soap solution in the same direction of decreasing flame tip.

Q: How do I clean them?

A: I already told you. Weren't you paying attention?

Q: Which one do I buy? Will it look good?

A: Choices choices choices.....I get the question a lot and it still comes down to personal taste. Our biggest seller (ClassicMix) gives the most coverage and people can put it anywhere if they cut the pieces apart.  And yes it looks great on any color - not that I am biased in any way.

Q: What about a warranty?

A: The decal is warrantied against being damaged upon arrival. Send it back and we'll send you a new one.
